We had a wonderful and cozy dinner tonight. The best sauerbraten ever .... The offer of the Marienturm restaurant - always worth a trip. The in-house crockery completes the ambience. The extremely friendly and attentive waiter - an asset. Thank you, we will be back ...

We chose the hotel to celebrate our wedding. Many of our guests came with their children especially for us from abroad, so it was important for us to bring everyone and everything under one roof. So the Marienturm was perfect for us. Unfortunately, there were the first uncomfortable situations the evening before the wedding. Our guests found the staff to be biting and cheeky, even if the food was first class. On the day of the wedding, the staff was really friendly - our friendly advice was taken to heart and our guests felt absolutely at home. But there were again problems with the provision of the extra room for the dwarfs that had been promised since December 2019 - and we had eight of them. But Corona and the related changes made us mild. So be it. Thanks to the DJ, the children had fun and the parents stayed relaxed. The hammer hit us when we settled the drinks - rather not us directly as the bride and groom, but the bride's parents, who paid for the drinks and discussed the process separately with the boss. This, unfortunately verbal, agreement was no longer kept, despite an agreement with the couple. Previous e-mail - and thus fixed agreements - were thus enforced (as outrageous and cheeky - repeated behavior towards the bride's parents). Legally permissible, but shameful and embarrassing for us as the bride and groom. In the summary and in retrospect, this is not acceptable and we would like to advise everyone to put everything in writing! Therefore only 3 stars for us! We expected something different from a 4 * hotel!

Always very good, great dishes of the Thuringian cuisine, very well prepared. The view is also worth the trip when you are in Rudolstadt. Top tip

Very friendly service and great food in a nice atmosphere

They have great food, nice wait staff, and generally good service. And most importantly: a fantastic view of the Saale valley with Rudolstadt and the beautiful Heidecksburg.

Thuringia and Rudolstadt have developed a lot. Well worth the trip. Definitely with a city tour and a break in the cafe upstairs in the Heidecksburg with a beautiful view of the city and the surrounding area! The hotel is in a quiet location and the food is very good!

The hotel is clean and tidy. The beds were rather hard. Overall, the price-performance ratio is unfortunately absolutely not right. Priced way too high for what they offer. Whether food or accommodation.

The hotel is in a really great location. The view is sensational. The food the room the hotel oh just everything was great. Super nice and attentive staff, very, very friendly. It is definitely always worth a visit.

Easily reached on foot, the ascent from Rudolstadt is worthwhile. Great view. Delicious meal. There are other dishes on the menu besides Thuringian classics.

We were looking for the mushrooms for the first time. No problem getting a seat on the viewing terrace. A great view of Rudolstadt and its Heidecksburg .. Small menu, but very good food. Very good staff. Top!

Although it is in a higher price range, it is also a star hotel with a restaurant. And the food tastes good😁

Were there for lunch, delicious with a wonderful view!

Was a little disappointed about the price / performance ratio. The salad was pretty careless, as if given from the package with a dressing on top. The Brauhaus schnitzel, just a stuffed schnitzel with french fries, without any sauce, for so much money.

Very tasty food, and nice ambience. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the rooms.

Just the right thing for connoisseurs and romantics! Service very nice, the food is a feast for the palate and the view is mega beautiful.

The restaurant was well filled at lunchtime on Saturday (March 7th), a company with many guests was present. We wanted to have lunch, as a precaution we were made aware of a longer waiting time. Then it didn't take long for the food to come. Everything was freshly prepared, my husband also enjoyed the dumplings, in short a worthwhile trip to the "Marienturm"! The beautiful view was free. Thanks to the kitchen and staff, we would love to come back.

Super delicious food and a fantastic view. Priced it is a bit upscale, but certainly worth the price. We will be back.

The hotel has a very nice view on the city of Rudolstadt. The restaurant's food is quite good and the people are nice. Bear in mind that the hotel is outside of the city and a car is a just to access to it from the city. For the hotel, the room are spacious, but very classic. The WiFi connection is very very slow.
